Windreach

Privacy policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

The short version: the game collects nothing about you for us. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no ads, and you have no account with us. Steam handles your purchase, your saves in Steam Cloud, your achievements and co-op connections. This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else, except the trailer, which comes from YouTube only when you press play.

Who is responsible

The controller of the personal data described here is:

Quantum Possibilities, Matej Baša s.p.

Write to that address with any question about this policy or about your data.

The game

What stays on your PC

Your worlds, settings, progress and the game's log files are written to your own computer. None of it is sent to us.

What goes through Steam

Windreach runs on Steam, and Valve Corporation handles the following under Valve's own privacy policy:

To do this the game reads your Steam ID and display name through Steam while it runs. They are not sent to us, and we do not receive personal data about players from Valve.

Playing together

When you host or join a co-op session, the other players in it receive your Steam display name and Steam ID, and the game shares what your character looks like, wears, carries and does in the world. A hosted session is listed as a Steam lobby so that the people you invite can join it. Steam carries the connection between the players' computers. Depending on the connection, Steam may route it through Valve's relay servers or connect the computers directly. We run no servers of our own and see none of this traffic.

This website

windreach-game.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking and loads nothing from other sites: every picture, video and script comes from the site itself, and the fonts are your own computer's. Its one small script only plays the videos and opens the trailer and the screenshot viewer.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver and protect it, Vercel processes the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page you asked for, as described in Vercel's privacy policy. We do not use these logs to identify or follow visitors.

The trailer, on YouTube

The trailer is hosted on YouTube. Until you press play, the page shows our own still and nothing at all is loaded from YouTube. When you press play, the player loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and from then on Google receives the technical details of your visit, such as your IP address and browser, and may store data in your browser, under Google's privacy policy.

When you email us

We receive your email address, your message and anything you attach, such as a log file or a screenshot. We use them only to answer you and to fix the problem you report. Mail to our address passes through our domain registrar's mail forwarding (Namecheap) on its way to the mailbox we read.

We keep a support conversation for as long as it takes to resolve and follow up on, and delete it no later than 24 months after the last message, unless we need it to establish or defend a legal claim.

Legal bases

Providing the game and co-op
Necessary to deliver the game you bought (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Answering support messages
Our legitimate interest in helping players and fixing the game (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Playing the trailer from YouTube
Your consent, which you give by pressing play (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Nothing is loaded from YouTube before that.
Keeping this website running and secure
Our legitimate interest in a working, secure site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. The only other parties involved are the ones named above: Valve (Steam), Vercel (this website), Namecheap (mail forwarding) and, only if you play the trailer, Google (YouTube). Each of them may process data in the United States, and their privacy policies describe the safeguards they use when data leaves the EU.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable form. Write to support@windreach-game.com; we answer within one month. Data held by Valve is managed in your Steam account and through Steam Support.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec), www.ip-rs.si, but you may go to the authority where you live.

Changes

If what the game or this site does with personal data changes, this page will change with it, and the date at the top will say when.
